THERMIVA VS SURGICAL REJUVENATION
ThermiVa essentially uses the heat energy produced by radiofrequency energy to stimulate the collagen in the walls of the vagina. The stimulation and production of new collagen lead to the tightening of the vaginal muscles resulting in a tighter vagina. This is one of the safest procedures for vaginal tightening.
Surgical vaginal rejuvenation is an invasive procedure in which the tissues of the vaginal wall are tightened. Surgical vaginal rejuvenation involves surgical incisions and sometimes stitches. This makes surgical rejuvenation risky since incisions and stitches are always prone to infections.

CANDIDACY FOR THERMIVA
A woman above eighteen years of age is eligible to undergo ThermiVa treatments. Although ThermiVa is used to treat the prolapse of the vagina, in cases where there is significant prolapse, ThermiVa may not prove to be effective. Pregnant and nursing mothers are not eligible to undergo ThermiVa treatments. Women have to wait at least three to four months after childbirth to undergo a vaginal tightening.
In addition, a woman who has any long-term illness is not eligible to undergo ThermiVa treatment.
