Non Surgical Nose Job Pre and Post Care Instructions Los Angeles, CA

Pre Care

  1. Avoid Blood Thinners (7–10 Days Before)
    • Stop taking aspirin, ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin), naproxen, or other NSAIDs unless prescribed by a doctor.
    • Avoid supplements like vitamin E, fish oil, ginseng, ginkgo biloba, and garlic, as they can increase bruising.
  2. Avoid Alcohol
24-48 hours prior: Refrain from drinking alcohol, as it can increase swelling and bruising.
  3. Stay Hydrated
Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated and promote healing.
  4. Inform Your Provider About Medications and Health History
Disclose any medical conditions, allergies, prior nose surgeries, or medications you’re taking to ensure safety.
  5. Skip Dental Work
Avoid dental procedures (cleanings, surgeries) 2 weeks before and after to reduce the risk of infection.
  6. Postpone if You’re Sick or Have an Active Skin Issue
Reschedule if you have a cold, active sinus infection, skin infection, or any active skin irritation (acne, eczema, etc.) in the treatment area.
  7. Arrive with a Clean Face
Come makeup-free, especially on and around the nose area.
  8. Plan Your Schedule
Avoid scheduling important events for at least 1 week after in case of swelling or minor bruising.

Post Care

  1. Avoid Pressing on the Nose
For 24-48 hours: Refrain from massaging, or pressing on the treated area to prevent displacement of the filler.
  2. Avoid Makeup and Skincare
For 4 hours: Do not apply makeup or skincare products to the treated area to prevent irritation and potential infection.
  3. Prevent Swelling and Bruising
    • Cold Compress: Apply a cold compress to reduce swelling, but avoid direct pressure on the nose.
    • Avoid Heat: Steer clear of saunas, hot tubs, and excessive sun exposure for 48 hours to prevent exacerbating swelling.
  4. Limit Physical Activity
For 24-48 hours: Avoid strenuous physical activities like intense exercise or heavy lifting to prevent increasing blood flow to the area, which can increase swelling/bruising.
  5. Refrain from Wearing Glasses or Sunglasses
For 2 weeks: Avoid wearing glasses or sunglasses that put pressure on the areas treated, to avoid shifting the filler. Light glasses or glasses that rest on the sides of the nose (if not injected) are ok.
  6. Hydrate and Maintain Skin Health
Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated, and maintain a basic skincare routine with gentle, hydrating products.
  7. Monitor for Side Effects
    • Normal: Mild swelling, redness, or bruising around the treated area.
    • Seek medical attention immediately if you experience severe pain, skin darkening, small white pustules, or other concerning symptoms.
