What Is Coolsculpting?
Liposuction works by physically removing the fat cells through surgery. With Coolsculpting, you can avoid the incisions and surgery recovery but still remove the fat cells from targeted areas. The CoolSculpting method uses cold energy to freeze the fat cells in the layers under the skin. The fat cells die and are reabsorbed by the body, reducing the fat in the targeted area by up to 20-25%. This is a non-surgical, non-invasive method to significantly reduce fat in specific areas that are difficult or impossible to shrink with diet or exercise.
The Coolsculpting procedure is painless and comfortable. The device delivers the cold energy to the desired areas while you relax in our comfortable treatment rooms. The procedure usually takes less than an hour for most areas and many patients only require one treatment to obtain the desired results.
After your Coolsculpting treatment, you may have some swelling, bruising or sensitivity in the treated area in the following hours and days. The results begin to appear at about one month after treatment as the fat cells disappear from the area, but final results can take a few months to be fully apparent.
